How Commissions Work
Sale happens — Affiliate drives a sale via Stripe
Commission created — Amount calculated based on campaign settings
Payout term — Commission waits based on payout term (default: net-30)
Approved — Commission is ready for payout
Paid — You send the payment

Manual Payouts
Pay affiliates on-demand:
Go to Payouts
Review approved commissions
Select affiliates to pay
Click Generate Payout
Confirm and send
Payments are processed via PayPal in batch.
Automatic Payouts
Set it and forget it — affiliates are paid automatically.
Setup
Go to Settings → Payouts
Enable Auto-Payout
Choose frequency:
Weekly
Every Monday
Bi-weekly
1st and 15th of each month
Monthly
1st of each month
Save
Requirements
For auto-payout to work:
PayPal must be connected
Affiliate must have PayPal email configured
Affiliate must meet minimum payout threshold
Minimum Payout Threshold
Set a minimum balance before affiliates can be paid:
$0
Pay any amount immediately
$25
Small programs
$50
Standard (recommended)
$100+
High-volume programs
Configure in Campaigns → Settings → Minimum Payout.
Payout Term
Commissions stay pending based on the payout term before becoming eligible:
Net-0
Immediate payout eligibility
Net-7
7 days after the payout cycle
Net-15
15 days after the payout cycle
Net-30
30 days after the payout cycle (default)
Net-60
60 days after the payout cycle
This protects you from paying commissions on refunded sales.
Configure in Campaigns → Settings → Payout Term.
What Happens on Refund?
When a customer gets a refund:
Stripe sends refund webhook to PromoteBoost
Commission status changes to Rejected
Affiliate is notified (optional)
If already paid: deducted from next payout
Payout History
Track all payments in Payouts → History:
Date and amount
Payment method
Affiliates included
Status (processing, completed, failed)
Download CSV reports for accounting.
Affiliate Setup
Each affiliate must configure their payment method:
Log in to affiliate portal
Go to Settings
Select PayPal
Enter PayPal email
Save
Affiliates without payment info won't be included in payouts.
