Coupon Codes

The easiest method — no code required.

When to Use This

Use coupon codes if you:

  • Want zero-code setup

  • Have affiliates promoting via content/social media

  • Need tracking that works even with ad blockers

  • Want the most reliable attribution

How It Works

  1. You enable auto-generated coupons in your campaign

  2. Each affiliate gets a unique promo code (e.g., JOHN20)

  3. Affiliate shares their code with their audience

  4. Customer applies code at checkout

  5. Sale is attributed to that affiliate

Coupon codes always win — they have the highest attribution priority, even if the customer clicked a different affiliate's link.

Setup

Step 1: Enable Auto-Generate Coupons

  1. Go to Campaigns → Your Campaign → Settings

  2. Find Coupon Codes section

  3. Enable "Auto-generate coupon codes"

Step 2: Configure the Discount

Step 3: Save

Coupons are automatically created in your Stripe account and assigned to each affiliate.

Default Coupon Code

Set a fallback code for general promotions:

  1. Go to Campaigns → Settings

  2. Find Default Coupon Code

  3. Enter a code (e.g., SAVE10)

This code can be used when:

  • Promoting on social media without a specific affiliate

  • Running general marketing campaigns

  • You want a catch-all attribution

How Affiliates Get Their Code

Affiliates see their unique code in the portal:

  1. Log in to affiliate portal

  2. Go to Dashboard or Links

  3. Copy their coupon code

They can share:

  • The code directly: "Use code JOHN20 for 10% off!"

  • Their referral link + code for double tracking

Coupon Code Format

By default, codes are generated as:

Each affiliate gets a unique code that you can see in Affiliates → [Affiliate Name].

Stripe Sync

Coupons are synced with Stripe automatically:

You can see all coupons in your Stripe Dashboard under Products → Coupons.

Using with Other Methods

Coupon codes work alongside other tracking methods:

For maximum conversion, encourage affiliates to share both their link AND code:

"Visit mysite.com/pricing and use code JOHN20 for 10% off!"

Limitations

  • Codes only work for Stripe payments (not external processors)

  • One code per checkout (if customer has multiple codes)

  • Codes are case-insensitive (john20 = JOHN20)

Done!

No tracking script needed. Sales are attributed automatically when customers use coupon codes.
